MARI Activities
MARI is developing several activities related to mitigation of climate change impacts and adaptation to climate change and sea level rise. These activities will be coordinated and documented here as they develop.
The following activities are currently in state to be included here:
- Assessment of adaptation knowledge: MARI is carrying out an assessment of our knowledge on adaptation with a focus on the practice-relevant knowledge societal stakeholders need to ensure the livelihood of coastal communities under the expected changes in sea level. See the page for details ...
- EPIG: MARI is developing a cyber infrastructure “Enabling Informed Participation in Governance” (EIPIG). This web-enabled infrastructure includes a Living Knowledge Base (LKB) and a Virtual Stakeholder Table (VST) and supports stakeholder deliberations related to climate change and sea level rise mitigation and adaptation. - Resilient Region Reality Check: Old Dominion University and the Urban Land Institute (ULI Hampton Roads) in cooperation with a number of organizations in the region are jointly organizing a Resilient Region Reality Check (3RC) focusing on impacts of climate change and sea level rise in Hampton Roads.
