Travel Logistics: Many airlines serve Norfolk International Airport (ORF). The ODU campus is a short taxi ride from the airport. Amtrak provides service to Norfolk (Amtrak Train 125 from Washington DC). Norfolk is about 3.5 hours drive from Washington DC.

Local Transportation: Participants arriving by air at Norfolk International Airport had several options for ground transportation.

Parking: Participants reaching ODU with their car were asked to consult the driving directions and general information concerning visitor parking. Visitor parking had been arranged for participants in the Garage on the corner of 43rd Street and Hampton Blvd. Participants could park on levels 2, 3, and 5 but not on levels 1 or 4. It was important that participants utilized this garage and specifically park on these levels to avoid ticketing.
